Medina Remodel

Primary Bathroom

This bathroom was totally gutted and rebuilt in softer hues and new fixtures. A travertine wainscot encircles and unites the room.

Living Room

While working with existing millwork pieces, we interpreted and lightened the fireplace surround, added lights and new finishes.

Primary Bedroom

An unfortunately placed closet was removed opening up the bedroom space allowing the bed wall to face the room entry. The addition of a lovely central chandelier plus new finishes completed the transformation.

Carpet was replaced by travertine set on point and finishes and lighting were updated

The ceiling over the kitchen was vaulted and new skylights added. New, lighter countertops and backsplash

Dan Keating, our Principal Architect, has a conversation with all of our first-time clients to assess the scope of their project, their vision, and learn more about their property. Once a contract has been signed, Dan works alongside a project manager or designer to bring the project to life, conduct meetings, coordinate with vendors, and ensure everything is to the client’s satisfaction. We work to maintain strong relationships with local engineers, arborists, builders, landscape architects, upholsterers, and creators around the greater Seattle area who will help your vision come to life. Getting things built is a complicated process, and our relationships with these professionals takes the onus off of you to manage the finer details.
The firm was founded in 1976 as Peter D. Swindley Architects & Interiors Inc., and led by Pete for 44 years. When he passed in 2020, Dan Keating took leadership of the firm, ultimately purchasing it in 2021 and renaming it in 2022 as Keating Architects & Interiors. Learn more about Peter Swindley here.
