📌 What is the difference between hand stamping and engraving?
Engraving is usually done by a machine and gives a very uniform look. Hand-stamping on metal is a craft and art! Each letter and design is carefully stamped on the tag one by one. The metal stamps we use are sourced from around the globe and are very high quality.
The stamping by hand gives the piece a unique and quirky look. Each pet tag is a one of a kind and can vary from the shown image. Due to the hand making process, the writing, depth, and designs can vary slightly making the piece you receive totally unique!
📌 How should I care for my dog tag?
Metals like copper, and brass naturally tarnish and get a patina over time. This is a normal occurrence that can't be prevented! If you don't like that look and want the tag to be shiny a little bit of simple maintenance will keep your dog tag looking like new!
★ Use a mild soap and water together with fine steel wool to clean off the natural patina. A metal polishing cloth can also do the trick.
★ Don't use harsh chemicals or cleaners on the tag.
★ If the letters, designs, or numbers have faded you can use a black permanent marker like a Sharpie to touch them up. Wipe off the excess with fine steel wool or a polishing pad.
★ Exposing the tags to salt/chlorinated water and harsh chemicals will tarnish the metal
📌 Do you supply a split ring?
Yes! Each dog and cat tag comes with a strong split ring attached. Our split rings are high quality and won't come off ensuring that your dog doesn't loose the tag.
Brass dog tags will be delivered with a brass split ring.
📌 How do you make/design your dog tags?
Our dog tags are all carefully handcrafted and designed by Waggy Pooch. Each tag will be custom made and stamped after you order it. Our designs are inspired by nature. We live in a beautiful part of the world on the Wild Atlantic Way coast in the SW of Ireland. So lots of inspiration here for unique dog tag designs!
We use a variety of carefully selected stamping tools and metal blanks for our tags. Each tag will be unique. You won't find a second one like it!
We can customize each tag with your dog's name and up to 2 phone numbers on the back. Smaller tags can only be stamped with one phone number.

Our dog collars & tags are all carefully handcrafted and designed by Waggy Pooch. Each collar will be custom made after you order it. Our designs are inspired by our dogs that love the outdoors. We live in a beautiful part of the world on the Wild Atlantic Way coast in the SW of Ireland. We have plenty of beaches around our four doggies love! All the gear we use for them has to be hard wearing and able to stand up to saltwater, rain, and shine!

What is Waterproof Webbing Material (Vegan Leather)?
This material is very strong and durable yet flexible and soft to touch. It does not absorb any water and is very easy to clean. A bit of soapy water will do the job! It is the ideal low-maintenance material for active dogs that love mud and getting wet!
The waterproof webbing is resistant to water, chemicals, sweat, bacteria, UV radiation and weather
